Dr. Williams came to Farmington and started San Juan Plastic Surgery in July of 2000. He was born in Charleston, Illinois where he grew up and attended high school. He attended Eastern Illinois University where he was a member of both the pre-medical and chemistry honor societies and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Carbondale and Springfield, Illinois where he earned his medical degree. Following the completion of medical school, Dr. Williams completed a general surgery residency at Michigan State University which also included a one year research fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He then returned to Springfield where he completed his Plastic Surgery fellowship training and is now board certified in both general and plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and the American Board of Surgery .
Dr. Williams performs a wide variety if surgical procedures including cosmetic facial and body surgery, reconstruction of facial and body deformities for congenital, traumatic and cancer disorders, all aspects of hand surgery including elective and traumatic hand disorders, and congenital deformities such as cleft lip and palate repair, ear pinning, and hand abnormalities.
His personal interest include skiing, hunting, fly fishing, mountain biking and playing music.
